IF I SELECT "MERGE ME"

The QBJJC reserves the right to adjust registrations where appropriate - it is the policy of the AFBJJ & QBJJC not to have categories with only one competitor. All one competitor categories will be abandoned.

After the Last Day to Check, Change & Withdraw, competitors who do not have anyone in their division group may be merged with another division. All athletes who remain solo in their divisions once brackets are released means had no default merges available to them, and therefore there are no matches available for that competitor. They will be withdrawn from the competition and receive a full coupon credit for entry to any future event of ours.

I realise that I may be merged into another weight, age, belt or even gender category to ensure that I have a match, and that this will be done to the next closest division available, and wave my right for a refund in this event of this occurring! However any competitor that the QBJJC is unable to be merged at their discretion is eligible to receive either a 100% refund if done before the Early Bird deadline or after this date as a coupon credit for a future event, if they selected "Merge Me" and waive their rights to a medal and points. 

Competitors realise that they may be merged into another weight or age category to ensure that they have a match, and that this will be done to the next closest division available, and wave their right for a refund in the event of this occurring! However any competitor that the QBJJC is unable to merged is eligible to receive a credit for a future event.

On rare occasions competitors who are matched may be merged up to match with a single competitor category.

I also understand that the option for the QBJJC to merge divisions is only available during the matchmkaing and scheduling phase and that competitors cannot be merged after this time, nor at the competiton. 

Guideline of Merging Divisions

Kids Merges: Kids will be merged up no more than 2 weight classes and 2 ages classes. Kids Divisions will not be merged into Juvenile Divisions.

Juvenile Merges: Juveniles will be merged up no more than 3 weight classes. Juvenile Divisions will not be merged into Adult Divisions.

Adult Merges: Adults will be merged up no more than 3 weight classes and may also be merged into a Master Division if this is possible based on year of birth.

Master Merges: Masters will be merged up no more than 3 weight classes and may also be merged down age divisions or up to any that is possible based on their year of birth. However Brown & Black Belt No-Gi competitors registered into Masters Divisions will not be merged in Adult divisions, due to the different rulesets.

I REALISE IT IS MY OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO CHANGE DIVISIONS OR WITHDRAW IF I DO NOT HAVE A MATCH!
Competitors in Single Fighter Categories are responsible to choose who they compete against and can change to the division they choose. Kids/Juvenile may go up in Age & change weight, Adults/Masters may go down in Age & change weight. Or they can instead decide to stay where they are and only recieve only a 50% coupon credit & be withdrawn from the event. The choice is yours.

Competitors have up to and including the Last Day to Check, Change & Withdraw to decide, and or be refunded 100% of registration as coupon credit. If you select "Remain & 50% Credit" and do not have a match you will not be moved and if unmatched you will only recieve a 50% coupon credit.  

Remain & 50% Credit
Withdraw before the Last Day to Check, Change & Withdraw deadline = 100% coupon credit
Remain in a Single Competitor Division after after the the Last Day to Check, Change & Withdraw deadline = 50% coupon credit

SINGLE CATEGORY COMPETITORS

All one competitor categories will be abandoned. Single Category Competitors will not recieve a medal, national points or team points, instead they will be refunded (part or in full) with a coupon credit and withdrawn from the division.
