Information
The AFBJJ, The Australian Federation of Brasilian Jiu Jitsu Inc, is the Australian National governing body for the sport of Jiu Jitsu.
First anointed by Carlos Gracie Jr., the AFBJJ was established in October 1994 - it was the first National Federation for Jiu Jitsu outside of Brasil in the World.
Since 1994 the AFBJJ has grown under the guidance of the IBJJF to conduct the ultimate championship in each State and Territory of Australia. A National championship (AJJC) has been held each year since 1996. Since 1999 The Pan Pacific Championship has attracted competitors from all over the World and is now run conjointly with the IBJJF attracting some of the best Jiu Jitsu athletes in the World.
2019 will see over 43 AFBJJ and AFBJJ Affiliated events Nationally.
We endeavour to continue to represent the IBJJF and the Australian Jiu Jitsu community to the highest level.
